April: Vocalizes & more Warm-ups
Warm-ups help us integrate and pin-point specific healthy techniques in our singing. I've included some of my favorites below! (A link to the march resonance exercises can be found at the bottom of the page)

Week 3:
In week 3 I have included some pdf downloads. The Vowel Equalization Triangle helps you to form vowels for optimal ease and resonance. Use the vowel equalization triangle like a graph. Start from the "ee" vowel. The more you move down on the triangle the more you open your jaw (ex: "ee" to "ah") and the more you move to the right on the triangle the more your lips come forward (ex: "ee" to "oo"). You can also reference the recorded lesson from 4/11 for more clarification.
Just like pianist are given scales to practice, singers are given vocalizes and warm-ups. The Marchesi download is an example of a group of vocalizes that progressively get more complicated over time. The vocalizes address different skills as they progress. Start one at a time and move on to the next one as you feel comfortable with the previous one. Sing the exercises on one vowel at a time (your choice: "ee", "ay", "ah", "oh", or "oo").
